With 6 years of experience as a Disability Support Worker and over 3 years as a Client Services Coordinator, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in supporting individuals with disabilities. My work as a Disability Support Worker has involved providing person-centered care, helping clients gain independence, and working closely with families to ensure the best outcomes for each individual. As a Client Services Coordinator, I developed strong organizational and communication skills, managing client care plans, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring that services are tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.

I hold a Masters degree in Information Technology, which allows me to bring a unique skill set to my role, combining technical knowledge with a deep commitment to supporting my clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, taking long walks and connecting with animals. I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others, and I always strive to offer compassionate, respectful, and empowering care to those I support.

NAVDEEP

Hi, I am Navdeep, a disability support worker at Better Think Support Services.

I began my career as a Personal Care Worker in aged care, where I found great joy in assisting elderly individuals and ensuring they had the support they needed. This experience inspired me to transition into working with people with disabilities, where I’ve now gained 5 years of experience as a Disability Support Worker. Prior to this, I spent 4 years in India practicing physiotherapy, which provided me with a solid foundation in rehabilitation and physical care. My time as a physiotherapist enhanced my understanding of the body’s capabilities and limitations, and it instilled in me a deep appreciation for holistic care, which I bring into my current role.

I am passionate about providing compassionate care, helping individuals reach their full potential, and making their lives more fulfilling. Additionally, I’m a proud mom to two beautiful boys and live in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. In my free time, I love spending time at the beach with my kids, exploring new places, and trying out different restaurants with a variety of food options.

Coming from a culturally diverse background, I have strong knowledge and experience in working with culturally diverse communities. I value the importance of understanding and respecting different cultures and backgrounds, which I bring into my work to provide the best possible support for each individual.

FALAK

Hello, I am Falak, Disability Support Worker at Better Think Support Services.

I have over four years of experience working as a chef, but after caring for my grandmother, who was diagnosed with PTSD and dementia, I decided to transition into community services. My journey as a caregiver opened my eyes to the importance of support for individuals facing mental health challenges. Now, with a year of experience working with clients who have various mental health conditions, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and the needs of both clients and their families.

In my role, I strive to offer compassionate, practical support that helps improve the lives of those with disabilities, making daily life a little easier for them. I’m a kind and dedicated individual with a strong desire to help others, and I find joy in building meaningful connections with the people I work with.

Outside of my professional life, I love cooking, especially Italian food, and I enjoy preparing meals for others. I believe in the power of good food to bring people together and create a sense of comfort, which I also try to carry into my work as a support worker.
